The Migration Tool provides you with an easy way to get your contacts from Market Leader or Zap to automatically migrate into MoxiEngage.
Getting ready to use the Migration Tool
To use the Migration Tool you need to have access to MoxiEngage. Before migrating your data need to:
- complete onboarding
- sync your email with MoxiEngage
- clean your contacts in your current CRM (Market Leader or Zap)
- Cleaning your contacts avoids bringing outdated or extraneous data into MoxiEngage. Make sure to clean your contacts at least one day before using the Migration Tool to ensure you migrate the most current data.
Caution: Only use your business email to sync. Do not use your personal email. MoxiEngage will sync data to the email you link to it, using a business email avoids bringing your personal (non-business) contacts into MoxiEngage. If you do not have a business email we strongly suggest that you make a Gmail account to use for your business contacts.

The Migration Tool Options
When you open the Migration tool you have some choices:
Market Leader (InTouch, Business Builder)
Migrate your data from Market Leader right now
Migrate your data from Zap right now
Please don't bring any of my CRM data over to MoxiEngage (opt out of migration)
Do not migrate your data ever
Skip for now
Skip migrating your data for now
Caution: Migration can only happen once! Please ensure that you are ready to migrate your contact data before you use the Migration Tool.
If you decline to migrate your data with the Migration Tool you will not have another chance to use the Migration Tool. If you are unsure, please select the Skip for now option so you can choose to migrate or not at a later time.
Find the Migration Tool at the top of your screen, if you decided to use the Skip for now option, when you are ready to use the tool.
How to use the Migration Tool
When you log in to MoxiEngage after onboarding the Migration Tool will appear. To start your migration with the Migration Tool:
- Note the number of contacts you have in Market Leader or Zap (you will use this number to check that all of your contacts migrated).
- Choose Market Leader or Zap as your previous CRM.
- Click the Go button.
- Confirm you selected to migrate data from the correct previous CRM.
- Wait for the email notification or the notification in MoxiEngage to tell you the data migration is complete. Feel free to navigate away from MoxiEngage while the migration is in progress.
- Receive the email or in-app notification that your migration is complete! Check the number of contacts you have in MoxiEngage to make sure your contacts from your previous CRM migrated successfully. If you see your number of contacts decrease please contact support.
