Note: This product has not been launched yet for all brokerages. The official release date is TBD, but we will update this document accordingly once we do solidify the details.
The MoxiEngage Messenger powered by WAVV mimics your phone's text messaging capabilities and works directly within your MoxiEngage My People page. With the messenger, you can conveniently text your clients, utilizing WAVV's pre-written message templates and merge fields. You can access the features within the messenger by clicking either Message with WAVV or the text bubble icon located next to each contact's name.
If you would like to text while working on other items in the background, you can send messages using the minimized chat box. When you click on Message with WAVV, you'll notice a chatbox appear on the bottom right with all of your previous text conversations. You can also click the + sign to send either a text or a text blast to your contacts. A text is a message to one recipient while a text blast is the same message being sent to multiple recipients like a BCC email.
If you chose to click on the text bubble icon, a chatbox window will appear on the bottom right of your screen to text that contact directly.
Note: Please make sure you have consent to contact this recipient, in accordance with the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act). We'll assume that since the contact's phone number is in your database, this person has either requested to be contacted and some business relationship has been established. If you are performing cold-calls or using purchased numbers from elsewhere, you can be liable for not having consent to contact the individual.
You can expand the window by clicking on the box and arrow icon (see below)
THE TEXTING FEATURES
A. Emojis: You can add emoticons that are similar to the IOS and Android phone offering.
B. Attachments: Choose this option to upload photo attachments from your computer to send.
C. Merge fields: A merge field is a way to personalize a text with information from the contact's profile. Here are the available merge fields built into WAVV's messenger.

Good Morning {first_name},
It was a pleasure meeting you at the open house last week! From our conversation, it sounds like you are on the lookout for someone to help you sell your property on {address}, and I hope you would consider me to be your agent.
D. Templates: Templates are pre-written messages you can seamlessly apply to your texts and send out to your clients, saving you time and effort. To access all generic pre-made templates, click on the Template Center or write your own by clicking on +New.
Note: You will need to create and save your own templates first, then you can access them from within the Template Center.
Click on the Template Center icon next to where you would type your message to start creating your templates.
1. Title your template in the first empty field.
2. Write your template and click on the merge fields to auto-fill with the designated fields from the recipient's contact card.
3. Click Save when you're done.
4. To return back to the messenger page, click on the back arrow on the top left corner (see below).
E. Schedule: When you click on the scheduling icon, you can set what day and time you would like your text to send, so you can stay ahead of contacting your clients. Click the + to go farther in the future or click the - to go back to set your desired date and time.
HOW TO TEXT
1. In the My People screen, there are two ways you can start texting your contacts.
a. Click Message with Wavv or b. Click the text bubble icon next to your contact's name below the search bar.
b. If you clicked Message with Wavv, a pop-up box will appear on the bottom right corner of your screen. You can expand this little preview into a window by clicking on the maximize icon. If you chose to click the text bubble icon to generate a text message to a specific client instead, a little chat window will appear on the bottom right corner which you can also expand by clicking on the maximize icon (see below).
2. In the larger texting window, you can type in the name or phone number of our desired contact on the top, then click their name to confirm.
Note: By law, you need to have consent from the recipient in order to start texting them.
3. Next, you can start typing out your text message to your contact in the field "Write a Message". There are a few features you can utilize to enhance your texts: emojis, attachments, merge fields, templates, and schedule.
- Emojis: emoticons that are similar to the IOS and Android phone varieties.
- Attachments: Choose this option to upload photo attachments from your computer to send.
- Merge fields: Quickly insert information into your text such as first name, last name, address, city, or email into your text to save time.
- Templates: Use pre-written text macros or create your own. To access all generic pre-made templates, click on the Template Center or write your own by clicking on +New.
- Schedule: Set a delivery time in the future for your texts to send.
4. When you're done typing our your message, click Send to deliver.
