Why am I locked out of my website after adding my personal domain?
You went to your website admin tool and are getting an error message after adding a Custom Domain as the Primary on your site.
You added a custom domain before having it redirected with support. Support must perform a critical step in order to ensure your custom domain is redirected properly and doesn’t result in any errors. If you added your domain to the website admin tool but didn’t fill out the domain redirect form, please use the link below to have our team process your domain.
Once we process that form, we will follow up with the next steps to properly redirect your domain on the registrar’s site (who you bought the domain from).
You filled out the Domain Redirect Form but didn’t make the changes indicated in the follow-up email to the registrar’s site.
All redirects must go through the DNS settings of the Registrar's site in order to work correctly and prevent errors. If you have not made the updates to your domains DNS settings, please do so using the instructions sent by our team in response to your redirect form.
Once the changes are made on the Registrar's side, the site should start to connect correctly and the error should resolve.
