When a brokerage uses MoxiEngage, they are required to create a service account that is assigned the Applicaiton Impersonation role. Recently, Microsoft has been enforcing Multifactor Authentication (MFA) on all accounts, including the service account. If your brokerage is using Microsoft email accounts and MFA is turned on for the service account, MoxiEngage will not work for the brokerage. This article will show how to turn off MFA for that account.
Please note this is only a temporary measure, as Microsoft will begin enforcing MFA for all account starting March 15, 2025. MoxiWorks will be working on a more permanent solution for their customers before that date.
The following needs to be done by someone with Global Admin permissions for your email account.
Postponing Multifactor Authentication in Azure
Elevating Your Permissions (If Necessary)
