To import contacts into MoxiEngage you must use our CSV Template file. This article explains how to fix your contacts if you imported using the wrong CSV. Importing with the wrong CSV file can add bad contact data to both your MoxiEngage account and your sync email.
If you imported an incorrectly formatted contact template CSV file and would like to start over with importing contacts, kindly follow the steps below to avoid creating duplicate contacts when you re-import:
- Remove the imported contacts from your MoxiEngage account.
- Remove any contacts with incorrect data from your sync email.
- Note: You need to delete contacts with incorrect data from your sync email because removing them from MoxiEngage does not remove them from your sync email. If this action is not taken, duplicate entries will be created when you re-import your contacts.
- Re-import your correctly formatted CSV file into MoxiEngage.
