When importing contacts into MoxiEngage, you must use our CSV Template file. Files that are not CSV or files exported from other CRMs cannot be imported into MoxiEngage. Instead, you need to copy and paste the information (ex. first name, last name, email addresses, etc.) into our CSV Template file.
To identify if you’re using our CSV Template, use the following fields as guidelines:
- First name, middle name, last name, and home street always reside in the same columns:
- First Name in column A
- Middle Name in column B
- Last Name in column C
- Home Street in column E
- Mobile Phone in column K
- E-Mail Address in column O

If you notice that the columns are rearranged or that columns are missing, then you have the wrong contact import template or have made edits to our contact import template. Importing with a different or edited template causes importing issues.
Caution: Do not edit the column names or order of our Contact Import Template CSV file. If there are columns that you are not using do not delete them or move them, just leave them blank.
